Under the guidance of Fr. Gregory Wierzba, Coffee of the Cross is a ministry of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal in Nicaragua. The coffee is grown in the Mountain of Peace Shrine which was consecrated (along with the dioceses of Central America) to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by 65 bishops, and roasted fresh by Guadalupe Roastery.

The coffee is high quality and well loved (even Pope Francis was given a bag!)

Most of the proceeds from the sale of the coffee help fund the missions of the friars - including the upkeep of the Shrine and the Basilica of the Diocese of Matagalpa, and the formation of the faith within the diocese.

  • Yearly Subscription - $28/month This fee is broken down to: $16.16 for Coffee of the Cross coffee, $5.58 for FAMIGLIA issue, and $6.26 for shipping! 
  • Monthly Subscription - $33/month This fee is broken down to: $17.95 for Coffee of the Cross coffee, $7.99 for FAMIGLIA issue, and $7.06 in shipping!

Can I change the frequency of the coffee? >>>

  • Want two bags of coffee per month? You could buy two subscriptions, "borrow" the coffee, and give the extra FAMIGLIA issue to a friend! If that doesn't sound appealing, you can pick up extra coffee bags over at Coffee of the Cross!
  • Too much coffee?! Who has that problem?! Just kidding! If this is you and one bag of coffee a month is too much for you, we encourage you to give away your extra bags in the spirit of charity! Give it to a friend, bring it to your church for someone else - you could even give it to your parish or community food pantry who almost never get high-quality coffee!

What is your refund policy? >>>

Because this is a monthly subscription, current subscribers help inform the amount of FAMIGLIA issues we print during initial print runs. Because of this, all sales are final. This being said:

  • ON AUTO-RENEWAL PURCHASES: Your subscription will either renew monthly or yearly depending on your chosen subscription and you will receive automatic email reminders a few days before your card is charged. After your card is charged, you will have 48-hours to contact us to request a refund after your payment method has been charged. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days.
  • DAMAGED OR LOST ISSUES: We are sorry to hear your order has been damaged or lost! Contact us at support@famigliamessenger.com as soon as you notice the damage or loss.
